Scholarships
ScholarshipsAs costs for higher education continue to rise, Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity is committed to providing its members scholarships and academic achievement stipend opportunities. The national fraternity awards over ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS to its members annually. Awards range from two hundred dollars to over twenty thousand, and are based on a variety of factors. Through the Fraternities flag ship Guller Scholars program, each and every candidate of the Fraternity is eligible to receive an automatic $200 scholarship for attaining a 3.75 or higher GPA within their candidacy semester. Additional awards are available through an annual application process (Normally due Feb 1 of each academic year). Several factors including continuing academic excellence, degree major specific incentives, financial need, and/or year in school are considered. In addition to Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternities offerings, chapter specific scholarships and financial incentives are also offered to individual members for demonstrating academic excellence, outstanding leadership, and commitment to the ideals of the organization. It is also important to remember that several third party scholarships require or preference to students involved in extracurricular activities including the Greek system, leaders of organizations, or those otherwise involved within the University community. Joining the fraternity may just give you the leg up you need to move your name to the “front of the pack!”
