Each house has so many different qualities, guys to meet, things to know, etc... Each individual fraternity has its own individual way of making guys feel welcome, bringing them through the recruitment and candidate process, and finally, making them know that the house they chose was for them. We are Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity (Sammy's). While historically and nationally  jewish-interest, the NIU chapter has shed such labels long ago and have become an extremely diverse group of individuals. We're not the pretty boys, the jocks, or the study nerds... It would be hard to define us with a 1 or two word title... We are INDIVIDUALS who have come together to share our college years by joining an organization that celebrates just that- INDIVIDUALISM! Our chapter is about names, not just numbers, brotherhood, not just business, and leadership, not just blind adherence. After nearly 30 years on Campus, we are making a push to be the amongst the top groups on campus within the next 3 years. This path to success has begun- The proverbial "bus" is already rolling and we are on a huge upswing this year, we look forward to finding the right members to continue us on this path to greatness and who have the leadership and vision to bring us to the top!
