Sigma Alpha Mu at NIU
Relay For Life
The gentlemen of Sigma Alpha Mu would like to thank the American Cancer Society, Northern Illinois University, and all those who supported our cause this past weekend at the NIU Relay For Life. We successfully raised almost 6500 dollars for cancer research which far surpasses our initial goal. Our chapter was able to achieve the “Gold Team” fundraising level and proudly be presented as the organization that raised the most for Relay For Life on the entire NIU campus!
None of this would have been attainable without the support and donations of our family, friends, and alumni. The members here at Sigma Alpha Mu – Gamma Lambda chapter would like to extend everyone immense gratefulness for aiding in our cause.
Anchor Splash & Greek Week
Sigma Alpha Mu is happy to announce that Anchor Splash with Sigma Sigma Sigma was a great success! We took 1st place in our synchronized swimming routine, we won Mr. and Mrs. Anchors Splash with our very own Jordan Wynne and Ashley Cali(Sigma Sigma Sigma), and Sigma's won Best Female Eyes. Placing 1st in those categories along with high placing in various swimming events contributed to allowing our Sammy and Sigma team to take 2nd place overall! Good work guys.
Mrs. Anchor Splash (Ashley Cali) and Mr. Anchor Splash (Jordan Wynne)
We are looking forward to continue achieving high participation with Greek Week this week. We are paired up with the Delta Gamma and Chi Sigma Tau houses. This is our week to show off and support our fellow Greeks, school, and community. We look forward to partake in various events during the week culminating in Relay For Life this Saturday. Hope to see everyone there!
